Does anyone know anything about grapefruit diet?
I asked this question before but did not get any good answers. I am not looking to go on it, but we have grapefruit trees in my yard and there are all over the place and my mum in law wants to try it.
You don’t have to have tried it, just some useful info on it this time please.
Does anyone REALLY know anything about grapefruit diet?

Yeah, don’t do it.
If you are what you eat, then you will be as unbalanced as the diet.

It won’t have long term effects and it isn’t good for you. You may drop a few pounds quickly….but will gain them back when you go back to a normal diet. Tell your mum in law just to exercise and eat healthy and she will be fine!!! fad diets never work.

I know that it is the combination of different foods in this diet that work together to burn fat and reduce the fat storing capacity of the cells. It is what you eat, combined together. It dies work like all plans really - if you stick to it. It must be on line. Good luck

Yeah, tell her not to do it. If all you ate was grapefruit you would be missing many key nutrients for a healthy diet. Grapefruit is good for you, but not meant to be an only source of nourishment. If she wants she can eat grapefruit every morning for breakfast, but try some other healthy meals for lunch and dinner.

I would think you would be hungry if you only had grapefruits to eat….but if you had them with a balanced and healthy diet and got plenty of excersize that would be okay…..sorry I don’t know much but I don’t believe in “fad” like diets….just eat healthy and move around
