Yes, Kristan, they all can cause weight gain. I was on Lexapro for
almost a year and have gained about 10-15 lbs. I also had my 2nd
child so I don't know if it could be a metabolism slow-down because
of that alone. But I do know before Lexapro I had a very fast
metabolism and weighed just over 100 lbs. (I'm 5'1"). I am within
healthy weight limits now, but the "fat" is concentrated in my
belly, mostly. Good luck with Lexapro--it has it's challenges!

We may also add that the weight gain has just begun, you will continue to gain
while on the meds.. Soon enough you will have the same problems with fitting
into pants that are two sizes bigger than your present ones.!!!

hello!...lexapro is a refined form of celexa and more
potent per mg. than celexa!..in other words, 10 mg of
lexapro is equal to 20-30mg of celexa!...Supposedly it
has less side effects, but i didn't find that to be
true!...However, for me, and for many more that i've
talked to, IT WILL MAKE YOU "TIRED!"....BIG
TIME!...Take it at bedtime, but i did that and still
couldn't wake up till late the next day!....But, rem.,
all individuals vary in their reactions to
meds!...good luck!...keep me posted!...chuck
